Studio & Artspace
Named after chromium-trioxide, a toxic chemical used in the adjoining former tannery, Chrom 6 opened its doors in autumn 2017 in central Kreuzberg.
The small shop has grown into an intimate one of a kind artspace with its two residents Simone Klimmeck and LIN, that so far hosted some of the most interesting names of contemporary tattooing.
Guests include: Adam Vu Noir, Anna Enola, Attidude, Emily Malice, Han Shinko, Jack Ankersen, Jay Rose, Pastilliam, Tttristesse to name a few.
Not only serving as workplace for tattooing and drawing, but showcasing artworks of young generation artists like sculpturist Stefan Knauf and weaver Noël Saavedra from Weberei.
Chrom 6 got its unique Wes Anderson-esque aesthetic that might redefine what you expect a tattoo studio to look like.
Chrom 6 was a location for Sido’s ‹1000 Tattoos› music video shoot (prod. Lennart Brede, 2018) as well as a Deutscher Handballbund commercial with Sophia Thomalla & Stefan Kretschmar (prod. Park 17, 2018).
